Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Analytics is currently being used internally (for finance and sales reporting) and we are also implementing it for other companies. It is used by analysts and managers, and helps a lot in reducing the amount of Excel reports. The reports are quicker to generate, much nicer and self-explanatory, and used by more users.

Pros

  • Very easy to use even without any training.
  • At last an analytics tool that is beautiful without a lot of work.
  • The live connections to other SAP products is very interesting to avoid the usage of a data warehouse.

Cons

  • The data modeling part can be a bit confusing sometimes.
  • The data warehouse in the cloud is sometimes missing (but it is coming this year!).
SAP Analytics Cloud is ideal for a company which is already using SAP products, and wants to avoid having users extract data to create their own reports. With SAC there is no excuse because it is easy to use, real-time with live data. It can be more technical when used with non-SAP data sources.
