Overall Satisfaction with SAP Analytics Cloud

Is is used across the whole organization but we started with departments. We use it for reporting and planning.

Pros

  • Replacing Excel for planning with an application.
  • Calculate plans on a granular level without losing details, so we are able to regroup and report different views.
  • Combining reporting and planning

Cons

  • Planning: Data locking
  • Planning: Powerful calculations
  • Planning: Protocol function for executing data actions
  • SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation)
More strategic tool and cloud-based.
Works well with file import, upload from BW, and for live-connection.
Good capabilities but we don't use that much of that functionality.
We use it for all dashboarding and visualization. For a highly interactive drill-down and reporting on details. We use analysis for office.
