Overall Satisfaction with SAP Business Network

With SAP Business Network, our credit risk management approach has changed. The learning curve was doable, and the support team has been working up to our requirements rapidly.

Continuous sharing of credit documentation, automatic updates to financial metrics and streamlined communication channels are possible with the system.
What we can say is that the platform has really helped us better identify and respond to potential supply chain disruptions. We've been able to identify warning signs early of potential supplier defaults, which helped us avoid a few potential defaults through the predictive analytics of the system.
Such unprecedented visibility into the operations of our supply chain was delivered by SAP Business Network. Now we are able to track suppliers in real time, monitor industry trends impacting our partners, and inspect trends within our entire network. This has resulted in an improvement in the accuracy of prediction and a drop in supplier incidents.
SAP Business Network was selected after we compared Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud and Coupa Risk Assess. While they had good features, SAP Business Network was hands down better in credit risk monitoring and provided better integration with our existing systems. It had a whole different way of taking a cross-functional and cross-firm approach to supply chain visibility and risk management.

It's great if your company requires you to plan for large numbers of suppliers and to track metrics around credit across all your industries. But it sometimes has a hard time dealing with legacy system integration, especially of an older ERP system. The platform is excellent at change monitoring as well as automating risk alerts, but can be slow to perform during peak usage periods.
