Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using BTP in several ways. We have multiple instances of Integration Suite and Joule, among other applications.
This addresses of course the way we are working with integrations. Also it encourages us to test products before going productive.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Almost always available.
The interface is relatively easy to work with.
It encourages us to try out applications in sandbox like environment.

Cons

Roles and authorization. Too much effort is spent there.

Return on Investment

That is a question we need to get back to as soon as soon as we are live with our transformation project.

Usability

It provides inspiration for an SAP architect on how to create a landscape.
In our case, Joule is the product with a promising future within our landscape.

Support Rating

Since we are a RISE customer we have the proper channels towards good support within BTP.

BTP is well suited for working with integrations between products and services. As for now I can't see any obvious scenario where BTP is less appropriate.
