Overall Satisfaction with SAP Integration Suite

It is used by the Technical Dev team for the development of Fiori apps. SAP Cloud Platform enables us to use Fiori to develop more user-friendly interfaces.
  • Easy to set up.
  • Runs like clockwork.
  • Does what has to be done.
  • Much faster than traditional PI/PO
  • Subscription options are not flexible
  • Expensive
  • Some functionality of PI/PO is missing like QoS
  • Certain integration scenarios can run up to 30 times faster
  • Landscape is more complex if you have on-prem to on-prem scenarios
  • Traditional PO will be discontinued by 2030 so you have to migrate eventually
Certain on-prem to on-prem scenarios that handle a lot of small synchronous data calls execute about 30 times faster due to parallelism options. Each scenario is more of an independent app and is less likely to cause problems for the entire system, which increases stability of the system.
We have not used that
The architecture is more complex, monitoring is lacking.

It can be a very powerful integration tool, that is capable to handle any scenario that you can imagine. However like any powerful tool it takes an expert to use. Luckily you can create templates that are easily configurable that you can publish to accommodate your most common scenarios. Overall - powerful tool in good hands but it takes time mastering.
