Overall Satisfaction with SAP Data Warehouse Cloud
We use the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud in our company in parallel with our on-premise BW on HANA. In the future, we plan to migrate our system to the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud using the BW Bridge. We use our company data for the budget and annual financial statements and for financial control during the year
- ad hoc reporting
- analysis of the data
- simple data management
- planning functions
- not as far as bw/4hana yet
- transparent license costs
- clear strategy of sap with regard to the data warehouse
- ongoing license costs in contrast to one-off costs
- Data storage in the public cloud for sensitive data
- simplification of processes and streamlining of objects
- Product Features
- Prior Experience with the Product
We opted for the SAP Data Warehouse Cloud because we have legacy data in the on-premise system (BW on HANA) and need to look for a new data warehouse solution. Since SAP has the cloud first strategy, we are obliged to go to the cloud with our data warehouse in the long term. With the BW Bridge, the DWC offers an optimal environment for this.
Compared to the SAP Business Warehouse, the DWC can be operated with the SAC in a cloud environment on the Business Technology Platform. Thus, a single point of entry or single point of truth is given in the DWC, and reporting in the SAC is possible. The complete corporate planning can be mapped on a platform and made available to the users in the form of a frontend
