SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite is used in our company to document our end to end internal processes as part of operational efficiency and compliance. It helps in creation of SOP, responsibility sheet and identify process risks and controls as well as improvement opportunities.
Its ability to run simulations, helped us understand our FTE utilization across different scenarios and how we can bring in efficiencies specially better use of our underwriting resources.

Was easy to implement and onboard users on to the tool. It being cloud based, there was no need for any installation and was enabled via SSO login.
Yes, SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite is much more advanced and robust tool. While Visio helps visualize process in a good way, it lacks an analysis or reporting feature making it a basic tool.

Well suited when advance process knowledge is needed or where detailed what-if analysis is needed as it has robust process simulation and reporting feature. Can also be used for process insight, though we have not used it extensively in our company.

For basic modelling, simple tools like Visio or PowerPoint can be used which are cheaper.
