Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors

SAP SuccessFactors is used as an HRMS at my organization. It solves multiple business problems like employee records, workflow management, leave management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, attendance management, taxation related modules, HR policies, employee benefits like insurance, employee letters, goals and KRA's setting and much more which aids organisations manage their employee related activities.

Pros

  • It is a comprehensive HRMS tool which helps manage employee related activities more efficiently and effectively
  • Downtime is not too frequent which helps in providing superior employee experience
  • Its UI has gotten better as compared to what it used to be previously

Cons

  • The UI/UX needs to get more better it still gives a very archaic look
  • Certain workflows particularly in the payroll module are complex in nature and have room for improvement
  • As compared to peers like Oracle it still lacks a lot of features and user friendliness
  • Definitely SAP SuccessFactors helps in delivering a superior employee experience as it gives the employee control over the relevant information required
  • It solves the purpose of dealing with employee related activities with the help of technology which otherwise would require investment of manpower and time cost
  • Unified view of SAP SuccessFactors on a mobile app give an employee the flexibility to manage things on the go
As I mentioned earlier SAP SuccessFactors solves the purpose of being a comprehensive HRMS solution for small and medium organisation, it still lacks the fuel to be the preferred choice among large organisations due to availability of better alternatives. Although there is a lot of improvement with SAP SuccessFactors from what it used to be before but they still have a long way to go before they become the best.
Standardizing of processes and delivering a superior employee experience is something which SAP SuccessFactors has helped with. Making employee related activities available to them in a more user friendly way is problem that most organisations try to solve. With SAP SuccessFactors data privacy, residency and compliance with regional data privacy norms is not an issue.
So far I haven't come across any AI capabilities from SAP SuccessFactors. In this age AI is not a standout feature but its now becoming a must have feature as it makes processes and workflows simpler, more accessible, efficient and time saving. Will have to see AI offerings from SAP SuccessFactors.

SAP SuccessFactors is well suited for small to medium business organisations, in my opinion. It solves the purpose of being a strong yet reliable HRMS tool as it comes from the house of SAP. It gives your organisation the edge to manage employee related activities in a more synchronised manner. Large scale organisations do have an option to look at other available options as well because SAP SuccessFactors is not the best product in the market.
