Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

we mostly use it for recruiting, Learning (LMS), PMGM (only part of the org. uses it)

Pros

  • proxy function
  • LMS module quite good
  • user friendly interface
  • great ability to do mass load of learning history (data migration using LMS connectors for learning history) . The item load / class load connectors are not as user friendly as the history connector

Cons

  • reporting
  • mass data load functions
  • concurrent employment
  • it still uses XML and customers don't have access to provisioning
  • customers can't do custom development
  • integration with SF-LMS
  • connectors (items, classes) & Integration center
  • great ability to do mass load of learning history (data migration using LMS connectors for learning history) but zero ability to mass delete learning history in case of errors during data load.
  • Employee self service to take online courses and also to view own learning history and download completion certificates is a time saver
  • approval work flow is a time saver
  • re-certifications , expiry reminders are great
Limited custom development Enhancement requests take a very long time people analytics reporting has limitations as it can't connect LMS data with rest of platform data

we can accommodate business needs due to system limitations compared to on premise system. The plus is the user friendly interface
in process . exploring.
we are using both. SAP S/4HANA has strong time and payroll capabilities. For the talent modules SuccessFactors has strong capabilities
