Overall Satisfaction with SAP SuccessFactors HCM

Recruitment, ONB 2.0, PMGM, Talent & Succession. EC is in discovery, along with EC Payroll, and Compensation.

Pros

  • Onboarding from a Candidate experience
  • Recruitment is simple for the Talent & Acquisition team

Cons

  • Administering ONB 2.0 is complex. Docs are not easy to update, getting candidate data out is also not easy. I shouldn't have to run a Story report in order to view the answers a candidate gave during their onboarding.
  • Support from SAP has not been timely for some of our issues. What should have been a quick response for an issue with EC Mini Master took 10 months to resolve.
  • Employee experience for new starters is good through ONB
It is reasonably good for the users, some modules more than others. The setup from the admin side is significantly more complicated and not always intuitive or functional enough.

Yes, I would like to incorporate AI into Job descriptions and required skills and competencies. Use it to infer skills from candidate applications and training. Assistance with writing job descriptions, development and performance objectives.

Administering SAP SuccessFactors HCM in house without significant resourcing is challenging. The half yearly releases are very hard to manage without a support partner given the short turnaround. SAP documentation and KBAs is not geared towards actual user guide documentation. It is basic, and almost guarantees the assistance of a support partner. For example, just finding out which specific setting in theme manager controls the colour of panels on the new home page is impossible. If set up correctly, the flow of data between modules is good. RBP are good at controlling access to data, but are cumbersome to administer. The setup is not intuitive, and getting a clear picture of who has access to specific data is difficult.
