Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I needed something that would let me email tens to hundreds of thousands of people who filled out a survey on our website.

Pros and Cons

UI seemed fine/standard
Price/free plan is generous
Basic features were good/standard

Deliverability/open rates are extremely low compared to other providers. IE: I was getting 50-60% open rates with most providers and 6.5% with Sender.

Return on Investment

Unable to use it due to poor deliverability

Alternatives Considered

ConvertKit, Mail250, MailerLite, GetResponse and SendPulse

The others have open rates of 50%+. Sender's was under 10%. I selected Sender because of the generous free plan.

If you want your emails delivered to people's inboxes instead of spam, this ain't it. Not sure if it's their fault at all or if it's just that spammers are more likely to use lower-cost products and thus ruin it for others?
