Overall Satisfaction with SharpSpring

SharpSring is a very good marketing automation tool. It's user interface is intuitive. The tutorials are mostly short videos that explain specific tasks that are easy to understand and master. The main dashboard is informative and allows you to view all your digital channel initiatives at a glance. Navigation is simple and clean.

I have SharpSpring instances in B2B and B2C eCommerce applications.

B2B features - The anonymous visitor ID integrates with Zoom Info. It is a great prospecting tool for new business development. SharpSpring also has a widget in the contact manger that links to LinkedIn, again, a great tool for business development. If you are not currently using a CRM system, SharpSpring has a built in CRM, for the cost of the tool, it is a great value. SharpSpring allows integration with many popular CRM tools. The email workflow is easy to use and fairly robust. List segmentation works well and is user friendly. For small to mid-size companies this is a great tool.

eCommerce - It took a little bit to get the 3rd party forms to work correctly, viewsource was causing an error dot net. I have not yet implemented the shopping cart program, but I will update my review when I do. SharpSpring is scheduling an update with more functionality for eCommerce early in 2015. The system does a great job on tracking source to users and provides good intelligence for buyer preference.
Support is fairly attentive and does respond to issues in a timely manner. All-in-all a very good tool!
  • CRM comes with the tool. Many more expensive programs like Marketo do not have a built in CRM
  • The Zoom interface for anonymous visitors is unique and very helpful to sales reps.
  • Ease of use. Some of the larger Marketing Automation software are clunky and have a much longer start up. SharpSpring is very user friendly
  • LinkedIn widget is a nice feature.
  • List segmentation works very well.
  • Automation workflow is user friendly
  • Sharpspring does not have the ability to create landing pages. This would be a great enhancement to the tool.
  • The software has some issues with dot net Mostly 3rd party form integration.
  • Sharpspring forms could be better designed out of the box. It would be great to have a form library where you could choose from several different form designs. Again, this would be a great enhancement.
  • Better prospect and lead intelligence. Improves targeted emails campaigns, and lead nurturing.
  • Increased engagement with email marketing. Higher click through and conversions have increased sales and sales opportunities.
  • Granular reporting on traffic source as it pertains to accounts, sales and ROI. Great dashboard!
I have used Marketo. SharpSpring is much simpler to use, and has some functionality that Marketo does not have. The on boarding time is much faster than Marketo and the cost is substantially less. Also, you do not have a yearly contract that requires payment up front like Marketo, Hubspot, and Eloqua.
SharpSpring is a great application for small to medium size companies that do not have a CRM. It also has a full integration with Salesforce and Sugar, and can share data with many other CRM systems like Microsoft Dynamics. If you need to create landing pages, i.e.; you do not have a CMS tool that will allow landing pages to be created, this may be a consideration.

Using SharpSpring

The functionality of the tool, the cost of the software and the business model that they sell primarily to Marketing Agency is great. The dedicated account reps and email support is very good. Any problems or issues I have had with the software have been resolved in a professional timely manner. The software very good value. I look forward to future enhancements and development of the product.
