Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Sigma was used at my company to help with custom data reports needed for external and internal business users. These reports were needed to be run and exported on a consistent basis. This was primarily used by operations, data analytics, finance, product and government relations.

Pros and Cons

Ability to schedule and send reports
Graphs/charting

Admin controls need to be improved with groups and access controls
Improve ease of use for SQL-experts

Return on Investment

Usability

I think Sigma is great as a user especially if you are starting to get comfortable with analytics. The UI is pretty solid especially for joining tables if you don't know how to use SQL.

Support Rating

The Sigma team was excellent and incredibly responsive. We had a Slack channel between them and our power users which they provided incredibly timely support. I cannot say enough good things about their service and support.

Sigma Computing SQL Knowledge

This has used by folks on Ops teams who need to get data to understand their business but may not be well versed in SQL. This was great for them to understand their business metrics and deep-dive.

Likelihood to Recommend

Sigma is well used for folks that are not super data-savvy but need to use data to drive decisions. It is great for reporting and for receiving reports in a consistent fashion.
