Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing

Sigma Computing is used to make our data sharable with people that don't have SQL expertise and to create easily accessible reports to track client statistics/metrics. Most reports are either used on a weekly basis for business reporting purposes or ad-hoc as tools to pull relevant data or information based on specific inputs.
  • Great visualization
  • Nice color themes / visual representations
  • In my opinion, it is a poor tool for those that actually want to see the source code behind visualizations
  • loading time takes forever
  • increased confusion on data sources

Do you think Sigma Computing delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Sigma Computing's feature set?

No

Did Sigma Computing live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Sigma Computing go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Sigma Computing again?

No

It's fine for most people honestly. If you are just a user of sigma dashboards and not creating them or responsible for the data integrity (/ what the query behind a visualization actually looks like) it's great! However, in my role data integrity is quite important and it's impossible to lift the hood on other people's reports easily (Even without editing. I just want to see it!)
  • Chartio (discontinued) and Looker
I was not involved in the decision-making process, and we stopped using chartio because it was discontinued. Chartio was great for looking under the hood at individual queries. Sigma is superior in the visualization aspects - it looks more professional and clean-cut. I've also used Looker in the past, but not as a dashboard editor/contributor.
Chartio (discontinued), Looker, Snowflake
well suited for people that only need to look at the data and don't care about what queries underly what they see in my opinion, not well suited for more operational folks that need to build the dashboards in a way that creates visibility on what the underlying queries are actually pulling from
