Overall Satisfaction with Sigma Computing
Our company deals with millions of transactions on a daily basis that requires analysis which is unachievable with Excel unless possessing SQL knowledge to limit datasets. We have several databases and individuals that do not know SQL. Sigma allows for seamless integration of databases in an Excel-like interface that is comfortable and quite intuitive. Sigma is used to build daily distributed reports for multiple departments as well as management dashboards and Adhoc query/report requests.

Yes
Did Sigma Computing live up to sales and marketing promises?
I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process
Did implementation of Sigma Computing go as expected?
Yes
Would you buy Sigma Computing again?
Yes
Sigma has opened a new world to those that do not know SQL as with a nearly database-only driven company, analysis of data would have to begin with someone that could provide a dataset small enough for the end user to use with Excel, for example. This has saved money (and time) as it is a domino effect. In my particular capacity of using Sigma, it has not necessarily impacted my ability to make business decisions.
Sigma has GREATLY impacted the ability to perform ad hoc analyses due to the efficiency it provides. For example, the time it would take to run a SQL query to narrow a dataset and subsequently analyze/run pivot tables/charts within Excel has been reduced by at least 25%. It has been my first choice when asked to provide any form of data analysis.

Unfortunately, I do not think a comparison is appropriate here, given the time difference and offerings between the products.
