Overall Satisfaction with SingleStore (formerly MemSQL)
We are using the SingleStore product in our data delivery department which serves the whole company and its client base. The problem we use this for is to address data latency issues between the transaction stores and the dashboards customers monitor for progress on their advertising campaign fulfillment.
- It excels at providing operational store view of data which addresses latency issues
- Its scalability is great
- The query performance is also a notable plus for the tool
- We are still new users of the tool and don't have strong recommendation in this matter yet.
- It has helped us address a deteriorating customer satisfaction concern which was jeopardizing retention across some key clients. The solution SingleStore provided neutralized this risk and improve customer satisfaction on a key metric.
We had look at alternate solutions and architectures that address the problem differently than SingleStore, so it's not an apples to apples comparison. The tools we evaluated for those approaches were Abinitio and Sqream.
We deciced to go with Singlestore as it offered the quickest time to market and the lightest lift from our engineering team.
The real-time analytics was key to us choosing this product as our problem was data latency issues with customer dashboards.
The scalablity and performance has help us with our data latency issues.
