Overall Satisfaction with Sisense for Cloud Data Teams

We deal with a lot of data in our organization, and so Sisense for Cloud Data Teams allows us to surface insights that the entire organization can use, such as customer success and engineering. We use it for modeling internal data as well as product analytics to create dashboards and embeds.

Pros

  • Connects to a variety of different databases.
  • Can merge with customer data from sources such as Salesforce

Cons

  • Lacks behind other tools in embeds and external visualizations.
  • Would love to see more CRM integrations other than Salesforce.
  • Support for more types of visualizations.
  • Surfacing data for non-technical users.
  • Helps us prepare for QBRs or renewal discussions.
If you know SQL or are somewhat data-savvy, you'll feel right at home with Sisense for Cloud Data Teams. However, like most other BI tools, it is a little challenging to use for users that are non-technical.

The graphs and charts are very visually appealing, and there's lots of customization and export options.
If you are used to Periscope, you'll really fit in with Sisense for Cloud Data Teams. However, if you are looking for your first BI solution or are looking for an alternative to your current BI tool, it might be better to look for a product that is a little bit more modern and feature rich.

We used this tool back in the Periscope days, and I feel like it hasn't been updated as frequently as other offerings from competing vendors. There are also a lot of competitors in the space now (especially ones that are free or very low-cost). However, for teams that are accustomed to Periscope, many of your metrics and graphs will feel very familiar.
