Overall Satisfaction with Slate, by Technolutions

My university uses Slate[, by Technolutions] to manage applications for prospective students.

Pros

  • Organizing diverse sets of information
  • Fairly easy to navigate
  • Condenses info into downloadable pdf

Cons

  • Doesn't automatically advance to the next application in the queue once one application is processed
  • Doesn't allow an easy view of other queues to see what is coming down the pike
  • Doesn't allow users to copy email of applicants
  • We aren't really a business, per se, but a nonprofit university. However, Slate[, by Technolutions] does allow us to easily sort applications into categories for different departments to review. And it provides a clear trail of who is looking at various documents when--and how long it takes to process them.

Do you think Slate for Admissions delivers good value for the price?

Did Slate for Admissions live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Would you buy Slate for Admissions again?

Yes

Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Evernote, Zoom
Once an applicant's file is reviewed and moved on to be accepted or rejected, there does not seem to be an easily accessible archive of the application document. It would be nice to easily dip into an archive/record of all accepted students' applications. Slate[, by Technolutions] does work well for giving multiple reviewers (an admissions committee) access to the documents.
