Overall Satisfaction with Smartlook

We use Smartlook for three main reasons: understand users, review reported anomalies, training. It's the best of the best for the capabilities at a scalable price point. I've recommended and supported smartsheet into two additional organizations.
  • Managing and merging funnels and events retroactively.
  • Searching for events to find common behaviors.
  • Training against larger data-sets to predict both trends and a/b testing results.
  • Lightweight addition to apps that maintain our performance requirements.
  • Bidirectional webhooks could be a valuable addition that allows us to programatically adjust funnels and events based on other AI platforms in use.
  • The ROI was in the first day of use. Saves us at least $10k / month in user interviewing and third-party observation services.
Comparing the alternatives like pendo, clearbit, mixpanel, and others is not an apples to apples situation. Smartlook is purpose-built for exactly session monitoring and analytics. Others are either subpar or bloated with way too many partially complementary features.

Do you think Smartlook delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Smartlook's feature set?

Yes

Did Smartlook live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Smartlook go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Smartlook again?

Yes

Smartlook is great for situations where you need to segment, catalog, and review the finer details of user and application behavior. I wouldn't use Smartlook as a replacement for standard analytics, yet, though, as those other systems (google analytics) are well suited for non-visual statistics.
