Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At TechTrades we utilize SmartSearch ATS every day. We use it to track candidates and open jobs, send email blasts to prospective candidates, and many other uses. SmartSearch is a powerful tool for the staffing industry. It is easy to navigate and has features that are useful for us. We switched to SmartSearch about a year ago and I'm glad that we did.

Pros and Cons

Pros

With SmartSearch ATS you can email blasts to prospective candidates. Instead of sending out emails one by one you can choose as many email addresses you want and send one email to all of them. Big time saver!
SmartSearch ATS connects you to all the resumes at CareerBuilder and Monster without having to go to the sites. This also saves time.
SmartSearch ATS not only connects you to all the resumes specific to what you are looking for, but once you screen them, it allows you to attach the candidates to the open jobs so that your team can review them later on.
SmartSearch ATS allows you to attach documents and contracts in the open jobs. This is handy. It puts all the necessary documents in one place for ease of review.

Cons

Sometimes when you hit the "back" arrow it messes up the functionality of SmartSearch ATS.

Return on Investment

SmartSearch ATS is a time saver for all who use it. Since time = money, the ROI is quick.
SmartSearch ATS makes everyone more efficient. Efficiency is key in an industry that moves so quickly.
SmartSearch ATS helps us meet our overall business objectives. By doing the functions it offers so well, it allows us to focus on our jobs - fill open staffing positions.

Alternatives Considered

Adobe Echosign,ClearSlide

I love Adobe Echosign for what it is designed to do - secure signatures electronically. It's very convenient to be in one state and be able to do business nationally by getting documents and contracts signed electronically. It's so much faster than faxing or scanning used to be. And just as legal. Echosign is not competition to SmartSearch ATS though.
ClearSlide is a great tool to present products or services to people via long distance. As long as both people have access to a PC, laptop, smart phone or tablet that has access to internet. It's a great way to sell long distance. ClearSlide is not competition to SmartSearch ATS though.

Likelihood to Renew

I don't know of another tool out in the market place that offers as much as SmartSearch ATS so I don't see why we would not renew our subscription to SmartSearch ATS. There is nothing else out there that offers as much for the right price point. The ROI is easy to meet so why not use it?

SmartSearch ATS is a really powerful tool for anyone in the staffing industry. With features like unlimited email blasts to prospective candidates and unlimited access to all the resumes on CareerBuilder and Monster, matched with the ability to attach and download all the documents specific to each job it really is a powerful tool.
