Overall Satisfaction with Snagit

SnagIt is used by the entire organization. Primarily by Training Developers. There are no problems with this product.
  • I use SnagIt for Screen capture of virtually anything.
  • I also use it for video recording.
  • I also use it as a "photoshop" or image editing tool. It is very easy to take an image and make modifications to it and use the final product in anything.
  • More video editing capabilities like some from Camtasia.
  • The impact is positive, very positive. I can't give numbers but it reduces the emails during a discussion or makes a huge difference when using elements like text boxes in your screenshots. Learning is above and beyond.
I don't recall using other screen capture tool. SnagIt has been my tool for more than 12 years.
When explaining to a colleague something, just take the screenshot and show them. Add bubbles with explanation for better communication. This is not good for Video recording, unless you just want to see the recording later as informational material but not for presentations or training.
