Overall Satisfaction with SnapLogic

SnapLogic is currently being used by the organization as its main data integration tool in our data architecture. It is used to bulk load data from various data sources widely dispersed throughout the Caribbean, and store in our Snowflake data lake. We also utilize SnapLogic on a major compliance project which requires heavy transformations of financial data for reporting.
  • The ease of use being drag and drop ability to designing and developing data pipelines.
  • It cuts down development time by more than 70% over coded data pipelines.
  • The use via the browser means that it is widely accessible by all in the company, no matter the platform.
  • The lack of customization in the snaps with supplemental code
  • Some functionality, as loops, are not as out of the box as it may seem and requires multiple snaps to achieve
  • Custom development of snaps are very confusing and not easy to do.
  • Ease of use
  • Out of the box connectors to various source systems
  • Browser/cloud based
  • We have cut development time down by at least 70%
  • The software was more on the expensive side at renewal which required some further approvals to be sought for the spend
  • More developers are able to build and use Snaplogic pipelines in their projects
The simple interface and ease of building the pipelines with "snaps" was a selling point for SnapLogic. Amongst the multitude of snap packs available with new ones constantly being added. The support and vendor engagement was also very pleasant. Although amongst the more expensive of the solution, SnapLogic fit very well into our data architecture.

SnapLogic is well suited to bulk transferring of data with standard transformations. It also has a great manager section for the administration of your projects. Where SnapLogic may fall short is in the transformation heavy projects where the data sits in the pipeline during transformation. This can cause bottlenecks with resources on the nodes.
