Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM)
We use SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM) to manage IP addresses in the organization. IPAM allows us to quickly provide IP addresses to our various teams within the organization.
Pros
- Manage IP addresses
- Allocate free IP addresses
- Update the IPAM records in a very orderly manner.
Cons
- The process of teams assigning IP addresses themselves need to be more streamlined.
- Ability to see used subnets needs to be further simplified in the dashboard section.
- Quick turnaround in providing IP address space to organization.
- Would like to see dynamic allocation by IPAM, so that devices can directly request for an IP address when they want to use it.
- SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
Solarwinds is an extension of those tools which allows us to benefit from a single management tool. It compliments other tools in the Solarwinds suite of tools. We are quite happy with the integration Solarwinds provides with these tools.
