Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
There are multiple groups at Microsoft that use SolarWinds NPM, in this case it's being used by the cloud and enterprise organization to keep track of the network and servers for the developer division. It addresses a gap between our server monitoring and the more global IT monitoring done by our MSIT group.
- Easy to use but contains a lot of depth for power users
- Reasonable price point to get started
- Good support model and great community
- Alert set up can be confusing
- SolarWinds has had a very positive impact when it comes to our comfort that everything is functioning smoothly; we don't have to wonder if things are working and online.
We haven't used another product like SolarWinds, our global IT group has used many and most of them seem worse and more expensive than SolarWinds.
