Overall Satisfaction with SonicWall TZ

Sonicwall is a next-generation layer 7 focused application firewall. Our TZ 250 is a great firewall used at a branch office to do network access porting, web content filtering, application viewing, and anti-virus and anti-spam. It filters all content that users of our internal network access. And it does it all very well.

Pros

  • Easy access and configuration through graphical interface.
  • Warranty and optimal support.

Cons

  • Manual not available in Portuguese.
  • Licenses are a bit expensive.
  • Web filter restricting inappropriate websites.
  • Increase homeland security and fewer worries.
  • Increased network performance.
We chose the Sonicwall TZ250 because it has reliability in the Dell Sonicwall brand. It is a reliable product, with excellent support and warranty with face-to-face service should the need arise. It is cheaper than the competition, does not take up rack space, does not heat up, and it is easy to configure the equipment through its very good graphical interface.
Note 10 because it is an excellent next-generation firewall. It is a reliable product, with excellent support, and has a warranty with face-to-face service should the need arise. Web content filtering and real-time analytics and application control licenses are amazing and help a lot when creating network protection rules. The VPN works very well and we never had any technical issues with this appliance either.

Sonicwall's Tz 250 is perfect for branch scenarios with up to 150 employees. The appliance is small, portable, lightweight and very efficient. It meets the needs very well. We have been licensing Sonicwall as needed. In addition to the licenses I said earlier, we use a lot of global VPN and site-to-site VPN as well.
