Overall Satisfaction with SQL Sentry
We are using both PA and EM of SQL Sentry. We need to track some historical runs of sql queries on instances. We also need to see if there are any unscheduled outages happening. This tool is very much suited for getting to the root cause of it and trying to avoid the problem from happening again.
- Blocking a deadlock issue.
- Top SQL to track the historical queries.
- Alerts based on events that happened.
- SQL server waits.
- Mouse over issue when viewing Performance Advisor.
- Reports on deadlock issue.
- License cost is higher for one instance.
I was searching for a lot of tools that have more functionality like monitoring the historical queries and other stuff. In face I came to know most of the tools. Monitoring SQL Server, is one is the best.
