Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to manage our ecommerce offerings for t-shirts, hats and other related outdoor adventure gear. We also use it as a POS system that helps us make both online sales and in-store sales. We have about 150 different products that we sell and track through Square.

Square allows us to track and sell our goods alongside our RV dealerships main fare... RVs. But t-shirts and gear are marketed and sell differently, so we needed to have a secondary ecommerce solution.

Cons

Sales Tax reports could be more accessible and thorough
Graphics utilizing transparent backgrounds in PNG format should show better in the system
Connecting to Woocommerce more directly with all elements connecting correctly

It has made our business more professional when offering our ecommerce products
Return on Investment has been high because we've been able to tailor our system to our specific needs using Square
Reporting using Square has helped us represent our business correctly internally with high-end business analytics

Usability

Very easy to use and intuitive to design after all of our business needs. From the website and POS system to how we represent ourselves internally and to our customers... Square is second-to-none in helping our business and others in our same boat become the kind of businesses we want to be when it comes to our inventory and sales of these kinds of products.

Alternatives Considered

Stripe Payments and Avalara

We selected Square Online because it was able to do everything we needed it to do in one, concise dashboard. From employee logins to analytics and sales data to POS sales and inventory management, this product handles it all.

Avalara is great at tax management and Stripe Payments takes care of the financials great... but neither do it all like Square.

Likelihood to Recommend

Using it as a POS system in a brick-and-mortar store where purchases are made in-person and tracked and reported in an online dashboard works perfectly and exactly as intended.

However, when connected to ecommerce offerings (Shopify, Woocommerce, etc.), Square becomes less complex because the sync to those sites are less specific.
