Overall Satisfaction with StarWind Virtual SAN

Will definitely recommend this product have been dealing with support for over 3 years that is normally the biggest grievance we have in the IT industry and support is great after sales support and sales representatives were knowledgeable and very helpful, when you use free or paid version. This is perfect for mainstream organizations, even small businesses they cover legacy methods and all new methods in terms of hypervisors and backup methodologies , I work for an organization that has standalone hosts in rural areas in Africa where tape backup is still a thing with the assistance of StarWind we were able to share a backup device on "Hyper-V" as hyper-v does not support pass-through natively. Fantastic Software highly recommended for virtualization of Storage and backups methodologies
  • Storage virtualization
  • VTL
  • HYPER-V Pass-through
  • The Gui
  • More documentation to assist with install
  • Mostly on VTL side overall backup reliance on data
Great products and services is honestly not bad, and that is what a client requires 1. a working product 2. good after sales support and a good and reasonable price

Yes

Did implementation of StarWind Virtual SAN go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy StarWind Virtual SAN again?

Yes

It more appropriate for businesses that uses Hyper-V and direct attached storage arrays, works well with VMware as well with smaller systems a bit of a waist using it when you have a strong SAN but works very well in clustering smaller arrays to create a bigger array for storage platform.

Perfect software for interfacing hyper-v components with other hosts sharing resources
