Overall Satisfaction with TeamGantt
We use TeamGantt across our entire organization. As our team's internal project manager, I create a new Gantt chart any time we sign a new project. Our company's bread-and-butter is building websites, so TeamGantt allows me to efficiently create a Gantt chart to lay out the project plan in a way that is easy for our team and our clients to understand.
Pros
- Creating a Gantt chart is very simple and takes significantly less time than creating one manually.
- TeamGantt gives you the ability to create and save templates so that, if your team has projects that follow the same basic plan, you can create a new Gantt chart very quickly using your custom templates.
- TeamGantt has a report function that makes it easy to see at-a-glance which projects are behind, which are on time and which are ahead of schedule.
Cons
- I wish TeamGantt had the ability to easily track different iterations of the Gantt chart over time. For example, a lot of our project plans need to be updated due to delays as we progress. Currently, if you want to compare past versions of the Gantt chart for a particular project, you either have to create multiple Gantt charts for the same project within the app or export each one as a PDF and store them somewhere so that you can go back when needed.
- I wish TeamGantt integrated with more third-party apps. For example, we use ClickUp for task management and it'd be nice if we could integrate the two.
- The sharing function is not ideal. Whenever we need to share a Gantt chart with a client, we have to export it as a pdf and email it to them.
- The reporting function of TeamGantt allows us to easily track the progress of all of our projects in one place, which is great for sharing with the team and making adjustments accordingly.
- TeamGantt saves a significant amount of time when creating Gantt charts.
- TeamGantt helps us to create simple and easy-to-read Gantt charts that our clients can easily interpret and understand.
Our team uses ClickUp for task management. ClickUp has a Gantt chart feature, but it's based solely on the tasks we create in ClickUp, so in order to create a client-facing chart, we'd have to completely change the way we assign tasks to our internal team. We use TeamGantt for the sole purpose of creating project plans and viewing project statuses at-a-glance. You might be able to use it for task management, but we don't.
