Overall Satisfaction with Teamwork Projects
We use Teamwork projects to manage:
- Design of new products (teams of 5-10 engineers).
- Manufacture of products (team of 40 production/assembly staff).
- Great for managing tasks over multiple projects.
- Prioritizing tasks from different projects relative to each other.
- Not great for communication: We integrate with MS Teams and it is working well.
- Can be slow to load when there are lots of tasks are in a project (50+ tasks in a Gantt chart it starts to break).
- Hard to measure, we are now spending more time working and less time planning.
- 10 person Mechanical Engineering team has 2 stand up planning meetings per week (1.5 hours total). We generally have 4-6 projects at any one time. Teamwork allows us to do all planning in these meetings. The rest of the week the Team checks their task board daily (15 minutes) to manage changing priorities, etc.
Teamwork was already implemented when I started at the company.
