Overall Satisfaction with Thinkific
We use Thinkific to provide our nonprofit's courses on the internet; it does a good job of this; however directing users to the website + to buy the courses proves difficult; some users may find the sign-in process to long or difficult; another issue we have is Thinkific charges us a monthly fee which it taxes...even though we are a nonprofit; legally we are tax-exempt; we have been unable to resolve this;
Pros
- Listing the courses works
- Have an exam works...
- The website set-up looks professional
Cons
- It should not be charging a sales tax to a 501-c3 in the US which it continues to do;
- Helping with marketing courses would be great - we don't really have the bandwidth for this...and find it challenging...
- Not calling the courses 'Products' on the main course page - we requested Thinkific to change this...but was told it could not be done!
- So far we are having a difficult time getting a ROI on the Thinkific platform...it is barely covering its costs;
- I think since starting it in Summer 2024, we've made a net gain of $400
Thinkific is the only product like this I have ever used;
