I used LinkedIn Recruiter for job positing and sourcing the resume using the Boolean search. I helps to save my time where I just need to post the required information what we need for the job. I helps to get the resume from all the locations even the resume not the portals.

We have LinkedIn Recruiter seats for most of our Recruiting team and use it to source candidates. On the plus side, finding candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter is usually a positive experience. But getting candidates to respond via the LinkedIn Recruiter proprietary messaging system continues to be a challenge.

LinkedIn Recruiter is one of our primary methods of identifying candidates for our open client positions. It's used by everyone in the organization (recruiters and researchers) and helps us to identify candidates that are qualified and also potentially open to a conversation with our firm.

Pros

Identifies which candidates are actively open to a conversation with an executive search firm
Helps to target our search to qualified candidates based on the detail in the profiles
Allows us to send a targeted email to 25 recipients at a time.

Cons

LinkedIn does not show us when an email has been opened, so we have no idea if the messages are going to a spam folder, getting blocked by a firewall or are just being ignored.
LinkedIn does not provide us contact information (phone number/email) unless we are a 1st level connection and the candidate allows us to see that information.
LinkedIn support is slow to respond to issues.
LinkedIn limits the number of Inmails to 400 unless you are willing to purchase more.

I can attribute at least three placements a year to LinkedIn Recruiter, so approximately $90,000 in sales.
I feel that LinkedIn has cost me money when I've tried to post jobs on the site. The applicants I get are not qualified for the position.
I love that I can see the history of who I have contacted on LinkedIn Recruiter and if they have responded in the past, so I don't contact them again if they didn't respond.

We use LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing candidates for the role we have. LinkedIn Recruiter offers wide pool of candidates available in job market with a wide range of filters we can apply while searching for candidates with specific skills and experience. LinkedIn Recruiter also provides In mails which help reaching out to candidates, the reminder feature works fantastic if any candidate does not respond in specific time frame. Additionally features like Open to work helps a lot as this provides pool of candidate who are specifically looking for jobs.

Open to Work filter and highly interested filters works fantastic, helps in finding people who are available and looking.
Field of study feature helps in targeting candidates with specific education background, more helpful finding recent grad candidates

Skills shows only candidates who has endorsed those skills, can be improved, many of tools are not updated here

For the posted jobs, I use the talent pool and recommended matches to find candidates, and utilize the AI tool for writing outreach messages. LinkedIn Recruiter helps us to fill more challenging positions faster than if we solely posted them through our ATS.
