Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Thinkific for my courses, digital download lead magnets, and digital workbooks. The business problems I solve are for job seekers, providing out-of-the-box thinking search strategies as well as leveraging AI for building new income streams for the everyday person even if they are not looking to leave their current employer. Thinkific allows me to create amazing landing pages, ability to email and create funnels, and so much more. It's a convenient one stop shop and I love it!

Pros and Cons

Pros

The accelerator program.
Providing tips on how to succeed using their platform.
User-friendly setup for putting together landing pages and course uploads.
The platform is very intuitive and you don't have to have tech skills to use the platform.

Cons

I wish bulk orders could be available for ALL plans not only the higher paying plans.
I wish I knew how SEO worked with Thinkific because I don't think I am doing it correctly.
I do a lot of searches in Google to figure out things like how to space in Thinkific for some of its features when working on my landing page. Apparently, there are some features that do not space and you have to use html to get the words to space in paragraph form and etc.

Return on Investment

Well, let me tell you this! I literally launched a unlocking new income streams with AI course on a Sunday and started getting sales within 12 hours, then within 3-4 days ended up getting 4 sales. About 7 more people said they will be buying the course as soon as they get paid since the course was launched on rent/mortgage day (aka June 1st).
My other course was priced higher and only ended up getting 3 sales within 3 weeks. However, what it did show me (it was my first course I've ever done let alone have up on Thinkific) is that I needed to revamp my course as well as landing page. Through the Accelerator program, I realized that my quality was WAY off and the landing page was NO WHERE at the level it should have been. So, that program helped a ton! Now, the course is revamped (just finished it two days ago), but this time around I am going to have a marketing plan in place before launching. So, the launch won't happen for another 3-4 weeks!
I like that payment comes very quickly. I typically receive payment within 1-2 business days. Also, there is not a huge payment taken out of the sale as a whole.

Usability

I give this rating because as I had recently stated, there are some times when I have to do Google searches to figure out how to use parts of the features within building the landing page. For example, when words don't space out and I found on Google that I had to use html to do it. Overall though, Thinkific has a user-friendly platform and adding courses is super simple. Once you figure out the platform, it becomes very usable.

Alternatives Considered

Udemy Business

I think Thinkific is way better than Udemy. The Udemy platform was not user friendly, they require you submitting for approval before you can even upload a course and have so many restrictions. They never even approved my course, nor did they email me as to why. The support is not there like it is for Thinkific. Also, with Udemy, it feels like you are competing with so many people because they are given other options in comparison to you vs on Thinkific, it truly is your own. You do your own marketing and when people come to your landing page, it is all they see. They can't venture off of it to go to the next person who is on Thinkific. I love Thinkific and tell everyone to get on it. People say to me they want to know my ROI before they decide to invest in it. They want to know that it actually works.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think Thinkific is very well suited if you want more control and not a ton of competition. It is very well suited if you want to create courses because it does an amazing job with providing course outline examples for you to stay organized and so forth. The only thing I would say where the courses might be less appropriate is if someone is expecting it to be like an udemy where people can see a ton of different course creators all in one place with course recommendations. Thinkific is not that type of platform and I LOVE that. On Thinkific, it almost feels like our site is our own ya know. I tried out other platforms and it just felt like you were competing with so many other people and could see other courses. Felt like being on a platter served with others. Thinkific just feels more unique in the sense it feels like when people come to your page, they are only seeing your page.
