Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO BusinessWorks

It is used as middleware for IT projects based on EAI and SOA architecture. The company uses it across different department located in different countries. It's used as a common platform to build up services in order to integrate different IT departments

Pros

  • As a middleware, it can be integrate with different IT technologies
  • It offers a design-time platform that helps customers to build up services and process really fast
  • The runtime offers a easy deployment and scalability of EARs

Cons

  • BW 6 is still young product and it suffers in stability
  • The TEA doesn't offer the flexibility to manage the bw 6 applications
  • BW 6 design time platform is not stable and fast as it was the designer for BW5
  • Online training
  • Self-taught
During my training I was quite surprised about the speed of the learning process on using the business works because of the development interface is very user-friendly
  • Thanks to the easy way of using the products I could spend more time on studying generic concepts and cases of use of the products more than focusing on how it works
  • From a business perspective the markets offered a lot of job opportunities with good remuneration
  • TIBCO support was one of the strategic forces of the product, but the quality of the new BW6 and it's related support has decreased in the last year so customers start looking for different solutions
  • java
TIBCO BusinessWorks offers design time tools with easy graphical interface that doesn't require a deep knowledge of any kind of IT language
It is one of the best solutions to build up a really fast middleware that requires handling and process a huge volume of data in a quite short amount of time

Hello, Thanks for taking the time to submit this review. We appreciate your feedback. Regarding BW6, I would recommend you to give another try and use the latest BusinessWorks version 6.4.2. We have added a bunch of stability and performance fixes to both design time and run time. Additionally, you can now containerize your BusinessWorks applications using Docker and deploy to your choice of IaaS vendor like AWS, Azure and others. Please feel free to reach out to us and we can help you with more detailed information on container edition and also provide you with a demo if required. Thanks
