Overall Satisfaction with Ubiquiti Networks UniFi

Like many organizations, I have a need for multiple networks. From staff, guest, to IoT. I needed a solution that would allow for streamlining deployment. Since I have multiple buildings to service, Ubiquiti allowed me to connect each building using fiber and I now can remotely manage, gain insights, and perform maintenance from my phone.
  • Ubiquity's management app seems more effective versus using a laptop and browser for management.
  • Updates are sent to all devices when I am ready.
  • Ubiquity's WiFi coverage is enhanced and I can expand with Mesh.
  • Ubiquiti's AR is problematic.
  • It is difficult to purchase due to low or out of stock supplies.
  • there is a different mindset into programming when coming from traditional systems.
  • VLANing
  • Security
  • Ease of deployment
  • Reduced dependence on outside support
  • Reduced cost for wiring
  • Increased customer satisfaction
Ubiquiti is overall easier to work with. There is no special training needed to accomplish many of the things required with a Cisco product. Since my time is stretched thin, I need something that I can manage without being weighed down by command-line communications. Also, I am able to use my wireless devices to maintain every Ubiquiti device on my network.
