Overall Satisfaction with Udemy Business

Udemy Business is primarily used as a development tool for team members. It is used to refresh knowledge or upskill across any areas of relevance to their current role, roles they're wanting to work towards, or for general interest topics. The diversity of topics and skill levels across the site is extremely useful for a range of team members.

Pros

  • Self-driven learning.
  • Certification awards.
  • Different levels of learning.

Cons

  • A more straightforward layout would be good.
  • Good for staff engagement
  • Reduced time and labour creating learning content
  • Slight efficiency improvement on work skills where applicable
  • Cost of application may not provide tangible financial benefit
The application is highly useable. Search function, course catalogue and personal wishlists help to engage with the platform. Courses are broken down into manageable snippets.
Udemy Business has a wide range of course options to engage with, but a diverse mix of content creators.
LinkedIn Learning content is generally well-produced and creators are vetted, which gives more assurance of quality.
Zoho Learn is a fairly simple platform within the Zoho suite, but not a full LMS for the purposes we required.

Udemy Business is well suited for an organisation to support multi-disciplinary self-motivated learning from employees. Some of the courses involve valuable work upskilling such as Excel or programming courses, and some are more interest-based, such as languages. It is good to utilise if there is a small learning/engagement team in the business as it runs self-sufficiently.
