Overall Satisfaction with UKG Ready

We use Kronos for time and attendance, payroll, benefits, HR, recruiting, and performance reviews. UKG Ready is used across the entire company, and it has helped us become nearly paperless and more streamlined. Employees use UKG Ready for employee self service and benefit enrollments.
  • Easy to build and automate reporting
  • Kronos Global support is great when system issues arise that we cannot take care of ourselves
  • The Kronos App allows employees easy and convenient access to their timecards, vacation, pay slips, etc
  • FMLA doesn't always feed well into timekeeping so information is entered multiple times
  • While we appreciate the wish to continually improve the system, a lot of major changes have been taking place so it is hard to keep up and keep supervisors trained on modifications to processes they are used to - HR spends a lot of time trying to keep up with the changes
  • Many of the changes taking place are to be compatible with tablets and cell phones, while company administrators (the ones that use the system most) don't use tablets or phones, making regular tasks more complicated and time consuming
  • Cannot print tax reports directly out of UKG Ready - must use BSI or Payroll services to do this - both costing additional money to use
  • Has allowed HR to become nearly paperless
  • Provides broader access to important employee related data, saving upper management time when making decisions
UKG Ready has a lot of flexibility so it can fit many different workforce types.
UKG Ready has a lot of reporting capability that payroll can use to ensure timecards are accurate. There are also a lot of warnings that can be utilized to notify payroll. EX: when a terminated employees has pay, when tax changes are made, or when tax accounts are not set up for employees.
UKG Community has a lot of tools to provide training for system admins, as well as job guides to provide for employees and managers. They provide release notes for all updates, as well as videos for big changes. There are several user groups on the Community that allow users to discuss problems or ask questions on how to use the system.

Having Timekeeping, HR, and Payroll all together is great. For the most part, everything syncs together, and we don't have to use interfaces to get the data from one system to another. So, for someone looking for the whole package, UKG Ready is great. Once downfall for Payroll is that UKG Ready does not provide tax reporting, so we do have to use a separate system. Companies can either pay UKG Payroll services to do the tax reporting for them, or they can use a stand alone system called BSI to print the tax reports that are needed. BSI leaves a lot to be desired.
