Overall Satisfaction with Varicent Incentive Compensation Management

Varicent Incentive Compensation Management is used across the company to calculate Sales Incentives, non-Sales Incentives and to administer the yearly merit/ salary review process.
  • It is very useful when you have complex data and incentive rules.
  • Has a high degree of flexibility in table and calculation building.
  • Has a robust audit trail.
  • The standard presenter reports need some work, especially on the visualization part.
  • Workflow functionality and navigation are still a bit cumbersome for users.
  • The application needs some ramp-up time for new administrators due to the high volume of tables and interdependencies.
  • We have achieved increased transparency in sales and STI incentive calculation.
  • And a stronger process for auditing purposes.
  • We are only in year 3 so cannot comment on ease of administration yet.
The many tables and interdependencies offer [a] lot of flexibility but also make it hard for onboarding new administrators. Good training documentation and stable incentive plans would help with that, but we had [a] significant change in plans every year so not yet able to see that scenario play out.
I have used the Varicent Enablement Program and I found it very useful and informative. Totally recommend it.
I think it is flexible for many and different incentive plan designs.
If you have complex data and complex incentive plans Varicent Incentive Compensation Management will help you make sense of that and with time give you a robust tool to use.
