Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Azure

We are using Veeam to protect our cloud instances hosted on Azure with a backup strategy to ensure secure and reliable backups with a cost-effective backup and recovery solution for virtual machines and data.

Pros

  • Fast Recovery for backup for Restoring our backups data on VMs.
  • Management for policy and procedure for cloud backups.

Cons

  • Scheduling reporting features to be improved.
  • Document Qualification still an area where it can be improved but not bad as of now.
  • Veeam consistently performs well, restoring ERP VMs and associated data within defined policies and procedures.
  • Business Continuity: Veeam ensures that even in the case of accidental deletion, corruption, or regional outage, we can quickly recover ERP systems without impacting production or compliance.
I gave it this rating with the success rate of Veeam in our IT infrastructure. I am really good with the output and results from Veeam.
There are many aspects to selecting where one is. With Veeam, we found multi-level restoration options and full VM recovery, whereas Azure Backup is more VM-centric and less flexible for granular restores, and helpful for us, 2nd is cost, also a very important aspect for selecting Veeam, which is more cost-effective.

In our organization, we have hosted 2 major ERP applications in Azure and are putting the same in the Veeam backup solution...Mock Drill finds Success: While conducting backup restoration drills twice a year to validate disaster recovery readiness. Veeam consistently performs well, restoring ERP VMs and associated data within defined RTOs. Also, help to insure the success of our Business Continuity SOP.
