Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365

We need to backup our Office 365 environment for a longer retention period than what Microsoft offers so we use Veeam Backup for office 365 every day to backup our environment. We also use it to backup our subsidiaries environments also every night. It is easy to use and a life saver.

Pros

  • Backup Microsoft Onedrive for long retentions.
  • Backup Sharepoint sites and Teams sites.
  • Very easy to restore files when they get deleted.

Cons

  • I would love to see more reports from Veeam for Office 365.
  • Maybe with Veeam ONE.
  • We have been able to back up our subsidiary's environments effectively under one server.
  • Showing that we have our entire environment backed up in Veeam for Office 365 is great.
  • We have a great ROI in our company, and we can rest comfortably knowing that we have backups of our Office 365 environment.
There were not many options out there to back up Office 365, and I have heard many great things about Veeam backup for Office 365. It was very simple to install and configure, and the backups run every night so we can confirm that all our data is safe and recover them if needed.
It is a great product to use, and it helps us back up our environment for a longer time than what Microsoft was offering. It was easy to install and use and it makes my job easier to do when we need to recover data from our Office 365 environment. We even use it for sub companies that we support.
Yes, we have. Many users have already lost or misplaced their files, and I was able to easily recover them for them. Restoring files from this product is easy, and it makes my job easier. We can restore entire SharePoint sites to team meeting notes that got deleted.
We have been able to restore mailboxes as PSTs and also directly to the server. We have done the same for OneDrive files and compressed the folders to give to users. This product is great and gives us many options to restore data and send it to the user in different formats.
I enjoy the daily reports because they show us everything that was backed up and whether anything has a warning or error. It is great to see this every morning, knowing that you are protected in case you accidentally delete important data. I also enjoy the ease of restoring files and the options you are giving.
It beats them all out with the easiness to use and the great features that it offers. I have used other solutions and this product is much better than any of them. I even enjoy their support team when I have questions or issues. They are great at assisting me.
I have contacted them for either questions about the product or issues that come up. They are quick to respond and very friendly. They showed me how to resolve issues step by step and even explained items I did not understand. They even give me advice on how to make the application work better.

Users who accidentally deleted databases stored in their OneDrive were not able to recover them via Microsoft backup, so I used Veeam backup for Office 365 to recover the files needed for an important project. Veeam for Office 365 is great, and it is easy to recover lost Microsoft Teams files in a meeting.
