Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication

We use it in-house to back up and replicate VMS for our virtual and cloud workloads.We back up and at times recover application data and log information, and we like the reliability and speed Veeam provides. It's able to pull from a no-SQL database that is tied to automation processes and predictive, preemptive actions that we've custom developed.

  • It could be more secure.
  • Disaster recovery scenarios can be very costly, so the ROI on this is basically infinite.
  • It has reduced the time, cost, and effort associated with planning for and recovering from a disaster.
  • Failover Plan.
They seem to be more innovative as a company, and we really like that. They aren't afraid to make bold claims, because their software is able to back up said claims very well and quickly. We often recommend Veeam to customers who are looking for a cost-effective solution that will exceed their initial needs.
Veeam is usually able to provide faster time to resolution and recovery than other providers. If I remember correctly, when we were selecting them, the fact that they outperformed in this category was a big deal. It's pretty cool how they are able to monitor your environment, as well. It's making IT managers' lives easier.

Using Veeam Backup & Replication

5 - They are in the formal IT department and they use this on a regular basis to manage our daily backups and, if needed, replication. Our pre-sales teams also knows this product because they often pitch it in a right case, right fit customer scenario where needs align with capabilities and costs.
3 - We have multiple team members who are highly certified by Veeam and are very well versed in the processes needed needed to maintain, update, and upkeep the software platform. We review backup requirements and compliance on a monthly basis and these staff members are a very large part of this process.

We really like the product and can't really complain about its performance at this point. We've also had it deployed for years and it would be difficult to migrate to another solution, not to mention hard to justify the cost of a new solution when this one is working as well as it is.
