Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We currently use it to back up our file server so we can recover files easily. Also, I am using it to do a full backup of critical servers. This is being used by my department only but we manage all the servers in the organization. It solves our backup problem.

Alternatives Considered

Veritas Backup Exec

I am not a fan of Backup Exec. Their support is terrible and the product doesn't work consistently from day to day.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need something that performs backups and replications well, Veeam is the solution. I havent had any issues with it and it even sends me emails when a backup fails. Recovering files also works very well. It takes us about 5 minutes to recover a deleted file compared to the 10 minutes we experienced with Backup Exec.
