Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
We are using Veeam Backup & Replication to backup 6 virtual servers for the entire company. We had an issue where our backup software was just failing and taking much too long to complete. Also, the backup software was creating snapshots in VMware without removing them when finished and that caused major issues.
- Very fast backups.
- Allows for single file restoration.
- Very easy to set-up and configure.
- There are some times it is hard to figure out a specific feature.
- Working with physical servers is difficult.
- The community edition is free, so it can only come with a positive impact!
- Veritas Backup Exec and Code42 (formerly CrashPlan)
We used Backup Exec and it gave us many problems which is why we moved to Veeam. We continue to use Code42 as a second backup solution.
