Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
Veeam Backup has been in use for APAC for few years. It is mostly used by our IT department to do backup at remote offices in Australia. Since we implemented Veeam Backup it has greatly improved our backup strategy and reliability of backup copies. The software provides backup, restore and replication functionality for our VMware and Hyper-V hosts.
- Backup and recovery VMs.
- Reach backup management and retention plans.
- Replication of backups, automatic check up and test restore.
- Interface a little bit slow on recommended build VM.
- High license price compared with other competitors.
- Free version doesn't support backup for free version ESXi hosts.
- It always has positive impact on our business.
- Increased reliability of backup.
- Improved DR and simplicity of restore from backup.
We protected our virtual workloads on multiple hosts. The number of hosts will slightly decrease due to moving to the cloud and using Azure style backup. We are going to use only backups on-Cloud in future to reduce costs and complexity of management of our infrastructure.
We don't use our Veeam Backup with Cloud. My managers believe that saves money and improves security for our organization.
We use all additional functions of Veeam like verifying, testing security, etc. For us it's more important to keep our backup for a long retention period and have the option to restore our VMs at any time. Quick access to backup data is a key benefit for us.

Veeam provides one of the best backup and recovery experience on Ent market. They have solid and modern products with good GUI and professional support. The license politic is clear, very reliable and handy software to do high quality backup and restore.
