Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup & Replication
I use Veeam Backup & Replication for ad-hoc snapshots and full backups in a VMware environment. The performance, quickness, and simplicity are unbeatable.
- Initial setup and requirements
- Ease of use for simple backup and snapshots management
- Notifications by emails and SNMP
- Very useful management console
- Possibility to have a web console to manage or follow jobs and storage status
- Xen or kvm support
- Positive: has allowed me to save a great deal of time
- Positive: not free product offers the same deal of features
Not used for production but more for tests and for time-limited backups or snapshots.
We offload some backups on Soho NAD drivers and have benefited by not using the production datastores.
We have not used this functionality (community edition).
