Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
Backing up and restoring data at a 6-12 school. Veeam allows me to keep our data safe and segregated. We back up daily with full and incremental backups. We back up to disk and then to tape and store tapes offsite. We back up Faculty and Student information daily. We are always worried about ransomware but are using Veeam in order to safeguard our information.

We have 23 servers that we back up on a daily basis. We actually had more but some have been moved to the cloud as a service model. Veeam has allowed us to protect our local data at a fraction of the price that we used to pay.
- We now pay about a third of the cost in backup cost so it's a big positive
- We have a richer feature set with Veeam than our previous software.
What drove us to acquire Veeam was the rampant ransomware attacks. So we did our due diligence and found that Veeam gives us the best protection at a reasonable price.
We currently do not store backups in the cloud. But we are aware that Veeam gives us that capability.
We currently back up our NAS that holds information for 1400 students and 200 Faculty. The ease of use and deduplication that Veeam affords us makes it easy to restore any files or data that our community needs. The speed and ease of Veeam is leaps above our previous software.
