Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Data Platform
We use Veeam to protect around 100 VM and 50To with data deduplication, hardened repository, GFS archives and tapes.
Our goal was to retain over 6 months of granularity and in a short backup window.
With Veeam we are able to achieve multiples backups every 4 hours at 3x deduplication in less than 10 minutes windows.

We currently have 100 vm protected and are planing to set up replication between two sites.
Concerning agent, we have 15 nomad laptop protected and heading to 50.
We anticipated right as today, and we might increase our VUL number as needed in the future.
- We went from 2 hours long daily backup to 10 min long incremental each 4 hours.
- We have over 450 To of backup stored on a 250 To volume
- We are now 4-3-1-2-X (more work needed for the last 0)
Our CEO asked us to take all available protection against likely hazard like ransomware. We anticipated for further RTO required by our industry standard.
Our organisation chose not to use any Cloud as possible. We have a strong emphasis with sovereignty and technical skills.
This is from our CEO due to very traumatic and coercive experience with two different major cloud providers.
Also hidden cost that are very hard to highlight and to account without being any cheaper in the long run.
We don't use NAS and our file-shares are protected by full vm backup.
