It is good, quick and customisable
Easy to expand market, add new entries etc.
It is replacing a lot of manual work, one source of truth for tax calculation
Vertex is more flexible and better solution for US sales tax

It is great to calculate tax codes and for tax determination. Great to integrate with multiple billing systems as a shared Vertex.
We cannot use it for reporting as it is not designed to handle complex situations where manual adjustments are needed
