Overall Satisfaction with Vista by Viewpoint

It is used across the entire organization. Was purchased to tie in all job costing and accounting with contracts, change orders etc. Before Procore - the majority of "construction" software is dressed up accounting software that doesn't really ever deliver 100% of whats needed. Viewpoint has the ability to satisfy what we were looking for at that time.

  • Built In reports for any module outside of budget accounting are uninformative
  • Mobile access LACKS / Non Existent
  • Not engaging
  • I see Viewpoint implementation as extremely positive. As I mentioned, their service team is EXCELLENT!
  • Custom Reports - Although having to wait several days, sometimes weeks in the queue for Viewpoint to create for us was a total bummer.
  • Very Easy to train on - Even 1-3 day Acct Temps would be able to log on and pick it right up.
Vista isn't even in the same room as these 2 - million miles away. However, Procore and ProContractor don't have the accounting abilities or in depth report features that Vista has either. Vista is easier to implement in a large organization, licenses are less expensive than Procore or ProContractor too. So far, so good.
I give it a 7 as the Viewpoint support staff BRINGS IT! Excellent excellent customer service and support.
After all of the software transition headaches were over and Viewpoint was implemented company-wide- we really started to see a difference in the at hand information we could produce for spur meetings or for end of year close outs.
