Watchguard Products and Support
Overall Satisfaction with Watchguard Endpoint Security
We use Watchguard as our network firewall. Watchguard addresses our security concerns, network traffic, and is the first line of defense for us.
Pros
- Customer support
- Site to site VPN
- Reliability
Cons
- Too many portals for similar functions.
- Access point configuration can be confusing
- EDPR feels very limited
- Negative-clearing a false positive can be a pain.
- Positive-traffic management is clear
- Positive-policy builder on our firebox is user friendly
I have yet to work with a partner for purchase, but I have had experience with renewal. We use BlueAlly and they are excellent. I also had to contact support for a temporary access key and Watchguard was very helpful.
I have yet to see where I can manage all of my products in one place. Watchguard support/cloud is great for access points and a little bit of EDPR. I still have to manage our firebox by logging into the web UI.
I don't feel like you can manage every product from the cloud console. I still use the web UI for our firebox and EDPR is hard to manage as well. Each portal has their own positives but there really isn't an all in one.
Watchguard EDPR is on par with the others. They essentially all do the same thing, but Watchguard has great visibility.
